Wake Up My Dear Child

The “I” but a misperception
Of a beginning long gone
Captured by perception
Now a redundant reborn

Repeat it will until seen clearly
The “I”, a say, is in everything
In truth, it’s just a repeat really
Of an empty idea worth nothing

But since long ago “I” been invested
A label, a fable,  now turned a gamble
Of what was unreal “real” seemingly infested
All but just a delusional preamble

Asleep indeed long we have been
Of a happening that doesn’t exist
Replay replay amidst a Dream
One day, one day, wakeup be seen

Oh! “I” what an amazing pedia
A puppet that laugh and yet can cry
Except all but a silly strange idea
A happening that should have since run dried

A gentle repeating call
Wake up my dear child
Of events that deserve fall
Ending all unnecessary wild

The life we live is but an error
Nothing in it is worth pursuing
Except a journey ending tis terror
Otherwise all but a futile perusing

So long as life still ongoing
Let it be for the sake of Undoing
With extra time guide another being
Then life is worth living

A Mind Unknown

Since unknown views came to rise
Of each moment mind comes to contact
Unnoticed these views breed surprise
From innocence now to attack

Blindly the mind investing in views
Reinforcing its belief through clinging on
From innocence to ignorance it goes askew
Unknowing a nightmare comes following on

Mindlessness indeed now the mind’s hunger
As senses continuously come to contact
Awaiting thereon unimaginable danger
From thwarted views coming to interact

Difficult indeed to ward this menace
Of persistent mindlessness way of living
With consistent wrong views in harass
Life with no wakefulness a mere misgiving

Diligence in right perception indeed a precious
For one who day and night on mindful toil
Tuning the mind towards wise gracious
An unwise mind before now been foiled

Let life be consistently lived in nobility
Whatever experience let it be seen clearly
Of a mind not ours yet our responsibility
Trusting one day this mind be left dearly

Until then diligence in presence our only bread
Reminding ourselves our mind’s business
Whilst in great challenges the world we thread
Having faith in this Way our only success

The Living Dead

Silly Fight

are you right or am I right
just to show our might
yet there is no reason to fight
and get ourselves uptight

never was it a question of plight
except not seeing other side
hence making one height
a delusional ego like

if you face such pride
remember it’s just a persona tide
choosing again in loving stride
else what is unreal turns real wide

don’t take such serious decide
except to listen to wisdom guide
live only your life ride
till you make it right

The World Teaches Wrong

We are taught to reciprocate
We are taught to return
Hence begin the errors

We are taught to return thanks
A gesture of polite
And so the mind learns
When thanks not given to us
We see wrongness
And so our gift of upset

We are taught to return sorry
A gesture of amend
And so the mind learns
When sorry not offered to us
We see unforgiving
And so our gift of anger

We are taught to return giving
A gesture of goodwill
And so the mind learns
When giving not returned to us
We see stinginess
And so our gift of illwill

If reciprocate our mindset
How can we live Now
How can we live New
Plague by past “to-return”
With guilt in our memories
With awaiting judgments our mind

Do we not see what arrived
Our conditioned entitlement?
Not because of he
Not because of she
But meeting of conditionings
Arise what needs to happen?

If this properly seen
Any arising no longer
Be returned a memory
No longer be reciprocated
Be it pain or joy
Except with gracious thanks
That what is given, pain or joy
Is now All over

Only Now can then be lived, now
Only New can now be perceived
Only then Eternity be realized
Only then the Generous Heart
Can be savored constantly

Will then reciprocation, a necessity?
Will then guilt, a mind dis-ease?

Ney! Ney!
For the Generous Heart
Is the birthplace of Love

Who else need our return
Who else do we need return
When the Generous Heart
Already emanating Love
Is a natural balm of return
Without any “thought” of return

Only then the world is save
Only then the world is safe
Otherwise “return” a disease
Perpetuating mankind
Separating humanity
Distancing God.

MIND is not an easy topic to talk about due to its intangible and non-existential nature yet paradoxically it is the mind that gives meaning of existence, very real. A good analogy to represent the mind is the sky. When we look above us, the sky is always obvious. Yet, the sky though able to be seen, is not “something” that can be arrived at. Simply because the sky is not a thing. It cannot be arrived no matter how far we try travelling to reach it, yet it seems to cover our planet wherever we are. In the same way, there is no one moment we are out of the mind. Not even during sleep or death! It is seemingly looming around in the now, taking charge of our moments without fail yet it is not easy to place a finger over it and say – Ha! Caught you!

The mind in reality is not “here” per se as it is not something that is in place. It can be felt, no doubt about it, but non-local. Strange, isn’t it? Just as the sky seems to be overseeing, making us feel as if we are in some kind of an enclosure, similarly our mind too at times makes us feel trapped, so much so that we just want to get out from it. Yet getting out was never the question as we were never trapped at all in the first place, except a kind of illusion at play.

MINE – And that leads to this word that always seems to be in existence. The mind is not something that can be owned as it was never a thing at all. If the mind can be represented by the sky, then conveniently “mine” can be exampled as clouds.

Clouds seen from a far, looks solid and real, and at times threatening with its darkness that overwhelms the sky. Yet, when we are above in a plane, looking at it, the clouds is not something that is solid or even touchable. It can be seen, yet cannot be held. And do you also notice that the clouds were never in the sky at all? In fact, both the clouds and the sky never meet! They are not connected in anyway except when seen afar.

What is “mine” then? The sense of belonging, of possession, mooted from the origin of I-ness, is something that is seldom explored. Because of its persistency in place, the “I” has been taken for granted and it is from it, sprung the world so to speak. When “I” is not fully understood and realised, “mine” comes to be. From “mine” arises ownership.

All mainstream faith has denounce I-ness as real, except an optical illusion of sort. Yet, this can only be spoken by those who have finally arrived in comprehending its true nature. It is not something for us to believe or even to follow. Doing so only makes the “mine” ever deeply entrenched into it.

The journey of awakening, or God, or whatever you called it, is not an overnight waking up. It takes skilful manoeuvring of a specific path given by those who have made it. Even that, it is severely dependable on how well the path has been articulated and conveyed for any pilgrim of faith to follow, else it can be misinterpreted in any way to suit each self-perception, making a deception out of it. The journey can be so near, yet so so far.

The Game of Delusion, but only a Function

Note: The word “God” referred in this article is written from the perspective of what cannot be mentally comprehended except realised. It is just another word pointing to what Is, whatever word it can be to replace God.

The mind by its nature is innocent until delusion comes into the picture and thwart what is Real. It creates an optical illusion. This is the only veil that separates the meaning of ego and God. Yet, in truth, there is no ego entity per se except an experience of delusion, not yet noticed. It is but a clever projection made by this nature of delusion. Can we say delusion is against God? Not really, as it was never “against” anything except playing up its unique function. It is as if saying that the mirror can delude you to make you see your own reflection instead of just seeing it as a mirror. Your job is just to wake up to the reality that it is but just a mirror and reflection is just its function!

In other words, delusion is a separator that makes “forgetting God” possible – not “I” forgetting God but rather, “God-forgetting”. Thus, there is only either delusion, or God. Yet how can God forget itself as “forget” was never in the equation of God, not to even mention “remembering” for both can only exist in this dimension of being.

It is but only the function of delusion doing its work. It brings about the seeming function of forgetting. It cannot make God forget, as that is utterly impossible. For God is not someone or something and thus will never experience forgetfulness. It is only a matter of coming in contact of this function that plays out, strangely, forgetfulness. In other words, God-forget is actually Delusion-forget. It is but an experience, not God. Thus to recognize this function reinstates God again. The ability to recognize delusion is the function of wisdom. Just as the Holy Spirit is the bridge to God, wisdom is what makes God realization possible.

Yet the “delusion-forget” is different from the forgetfulness that occurs in our daily life. Our forgetting experiences is nothing but a play within the realm of delusion, not delusion itself. As such, the ability of us to remember – which is the opposite of forgetting – is also delusional, as it stops us from experiencing God itself.

The forgetfulness or remembering which we experience in our lives is an effect of delusion. Thus, when we try “not to forget God” as many faiths profess – we are unknowingly perpetuating and playing up a delusion that is already in place. The journey towards God was never about “doing” as in a certain form of practises, penances, or even praying. “Doing” anything can never lead to It. Hence “practising” spirituality is a nice camouflage meaning of delusion. It will be more precise if one were to REALIZE the delusion that is already present and that can only happen when one is able to recognize or wake up to it.

Realization reinstates God immediately. Not that “you” arrived at God. There was no “you” in the first place here in the realm of delusion except an optical illusion of what Is. There is merely a reinstatement of Presence, for a better word. Yet, how to “realize God” when delusion is not something that can be easily recognized, not to mention seen?

Just as if you have never seen a cat before, how would you be able to know or recognize a cat or even realise it is a cat, if you were asked to look for it? And “God” is not something of form or even formless where one can “easily look out for” as it is beyond the mind’s comprehension. For that, one has to rely on information of those who have so-called arrived. And that information are the scriptures of the world where it has been expounded by those who has awakened to It. This is the only means at this point of time for us to explore unless we have the special capabilities of a direct realisation with It, which would have meant we are enlightened now, but we are not! Those scriptures are not meant for us to “practice” as they are but realized experiences documented with words. They act as means for us to explore by putting it into test. They are pointers or indicators leading us to It. Hence, to come to It relies heavily on our own wise intelligence to investigate and realise rather than advocating a blind practice of it.

Those information found in scriptures is not similar to the kind of information found in this world that helps us live a better life – that is not the aim, although we do experience a happier life somehow upon realisation. They are information that comes upon awakening, to mean from the other end of spectrum of an awakened state to our human plane. When we hear these information we are hearing it from this plane towards something that is incomprehensible since we have yet to awake to it. Hence, we can only hear or read it from our own perceptions, which is of this world.

These unique information paves the path of moving beyond this so-called world of delusion into a realization of God-waking-up again, or enlightenment if you wish to call it. God-Realizing will be a closer word to that. Nirvana, anyone?
